Ergonomic Design

Ergonomics has been known as one of the contributing factor to comfort and safety in product usage. As a result, many manufacturers has taken the initiative to implement ergonomics onto their product in order to convince the consumer on their product advantages and to differentiate from their competitor. However, many mistakes has been done especially in the implementation of ergonomics onto product. In furniture design, we should understand what is the basic requirement of ergonomics. Applying lots of moveable gadget onto product does not mean a fully implementation of ergonomics especially when the basics requirement is failed to be included. There are lots of mistakes has been done and this paper will explain in brief the way ergonomics should be implemented in the furniture design.
